New Residence Hall at Scripps College
Drisko Studio designed a new residence hall for Scripps College in Claremont that unifies modern living with the historic campus. Local stonework, wrought iron and tile pavings connect the new Residence Hall Dormitory with the the Scripps College’s main grounds. New courtyards invite students to meet, study and participate in outdoor activities while shaded loggias provide a cool refuge from the sunny California climate. The design revitalizes the structure’s appearance and inspires innovative thinking, through sleek construction details and sensitive landscaping work.
